Overview

The RAM^® Tough-Case^™ for Samsung Tab Active Pro, Tab Active5 Pro & Tab Active4 Pro - USB-C Male (RAM-TC-SAM54CU) is a rugged two-piece enclosure designed to protect and power compatible Samsung Tab Active tablets in vehicle and work environments.

This Tough-Case^™ uses a built-in coiled USB Type-C male cable to tether the tablet to a vehicle charging port or compatible hardwire charger. The coiled cable can stretch up to 4 ft, giving the user more movement while helping keep the tablet connected to power.

The case supports No Battery Mode for compatible Samsung Tab Active tablets, making it suitable for hardwired vehicle setups where the tablet may run directly from external power. The back of the case is left exposed to help optimise cooling, or allow the tablet battery to be removed without disassembling the case.

Important: This is the RAM^® Tough-Case^™ only. For mounting, pair it with a compatible RAM^® Tough-Case^™ holder such as RAM-HOL-TC-SAM54U or the fan-cooled holder RAM-HOL-TC-SAM54FU.

A: No. This product is the RAM^® Tough-Case^™ enclosure. To mount the tablet, it must be paired with a compatible RAM^® Tough-Case^™ holder such as RAM-HOL-TC-SAM54U or RAM-HOL-TC-SAM54FU.

Q: Does this case support Samsung No Battery Mode?

A: Yes. The built-in USB Type-C male coiled cable supports No Battery Mode with compatible Samsung Tab Active tablets.

Q: Does the coiled cable allow the tablet to be moved while connected?

A: Yes. The coiled cable can stretch up to 4 ft, helping the tablet remain connected while still giving the user more mobility.

Q: Does the S Pen holder work with all compatible tablets?

A: No. The stylus holder accommodates the OEM stylus included with the Tab Active Pro tablet. It is not compatible with the Tab Active4 Pro or Tab Active5 Pro OEM stylus.

Q: What do I need to make this a complete vehicle mount?

A: You will usually need this Tough-Case^™, a compatible Tough-Case^™ holder, a RAM^® arm, a suitable base, and a compatible power supply or hardwire charger depending on the installation.
