This includes led bulbs for all the lights that are in the 1978-1981 Camaro taillight housings. The taillights actually have 4 bulbs inside each housing (total of 8 bulbs per car), by getting this combo you can replace all the bulbs while you have the taillights off the car. You will also need to replace the flashers; you can add a pair (turn signals and emergency lights) to your order or use your own. Without the correct flasher the bulbs will flash really fast (hyper-flash) or not at all. The led flasher will cause them to work like normal. We also include install instructions with the kit that show how to remove the taillight housing from the car. Includes a pair of white reverse light bulbs, amber turn signal bulbs, red taillight bulbs and red running light bulbs.
We have 3 different bulb options for this kit:
Auxito 54H/2F - Big improvement over stock, with brighter white and less electrical draw. Forward and side facing leds for better output. Combo includes Auxito 2F bulbs for rear side markers. 2-year warranty
Dapper Lighting Revive - Featuring side and forward facing leds, these bulbs are extremely energy efficient & have bright, consistent output. Combo includes Dapper Revive bulbs for rear side markers. 5-year warranty +$57
Diode Dynamics HP11 - Brightest output of the bulbs we sell, more forward and side facing led inside the bulb. Metal heatsinks keep the bulbs cool and output high. Combo includes Diode Dynamics HP5 bulbs for rear side markers. 3-year warranty +$165
Product Includes: 1 pair reverse bulbs, 1 pair running light bulbs, 1 pair turn signal bulbs & 1 pair tail/turn bulbs (led flashers available in the options if you need them)
Does not include taillight housings.
Why are my turn signals too fast or don't work at all when I switch to LED bulbs?
LED bulbs have a lower resistance, so older mechanical style flasher relays won't work with them. LED flashers are designed to function with LED bulbs solving turn signal problems like hyper (too fast) flashing or no flashing. The flashers we sell use a ground wire and include a polarity reverser. Unlike cheaper no-load flashers, these will still make a low clicking noise, so you know your turn signals are on. Most cars will not need the polarity reverser. Works best to try the flasher with the ground wire first, then if your turn signals flash very slow or not at all use the polarity reverser. Mostly cars with aftermarket or modified fuse boxes will need the polarity reverser. Either way you will have everything you need without waiting on more parts.
