Foundation is a dark roasted blend of Guatemalan, Sumatran and Ethiopian coffees - a balanced, heavy bodied coffee. Foundation is a 'no holds barred' Arabica blend echoing the dark, sweet roasts of Southern Italy and Sicily. We hand-roast our coffee in small batches to develop delicious flavor and aroma for each individual coffee. All our coffee is sourced according to our Union Direct Trade principles. More than just paying a fair price, Union Direct Trade means we work in partnership with farmers to improve the quality of both coffee and livelihoods long-term. We pay farmers minimum 25% above Fairtrade prices and ensure they follow our Code of Conduct covering labor laws and sustainability.
