DESCRIPTION

Bartolini has been creating boutique-level pickups that have found a home on the largest stages and in the highest-end builds since the late 70s. This pickup is part of their Original series, so it's one of the original designs from Bartolini.

This pickup differs from a vintage-voiced one in the sense that it has a deeper voice. The lows go lower, it has a pronounced low-midrange aka the Bartolini growl, and balanced upper mids and highs, which give this a fuller personality than what we expect from a vintage-voiced MM pickup. It is not muddy at all. It's very tight and works amazingly well with active preamps that let you boost and cut because it has all the frequencies you need to make sure you find your space in the mix.

The MMC features a design that delivers gigantic, luxuriant lows that Bartolini is famous for, while the dual-coil construction eliminates the noise and muddiness that vast amounts of low-end can create.

The 4-conductor cable gives you wiring flexibility. In series mode, you get a crisp, refined top end with strong low-mids and a lot of punch. In parallel mode (the traditional Music Man wiring), the pickup retains that familiar Music Man feel but with greater fullness and a nice balance of high and low mids. This versatility makes it ideal for players who want more than just a vintage voice and to make sure they’re heard in a mix.

The pickup is fully sealed and shielded, making it sweat-proof, touch-quiet, and immune to noise from stage lights and studio power supplies.
