Kayra Buzbag Reserve is a wine which promises enthusiasm: with its dense fruit and lively acidity which gracefully evolve to reveal subtle nuances of exotic spice, leather, cassis and a hint of toasty smoke. The soft silky texture adds to the red forest fruits and savoury notes on the palate with a long, lingering finish.

“Born in 1944 the blend of two of Turkey’s native grapes came from te direction of Ataturk himself. Where as he requested two of French enologists to review the countryside and identify the possibilities of winemaking in this newly formed country.Bogazkere is the power behind the blend and Okuzgozu is the taming portion of the relationship.Barrel aged for 18 to 24 months it goes into the bottle very powerful with meaty tannins, but given time and patience it softens and smoothes out to more of a raw silky texture and the fruits come out from where they were once hidden. From Kayra's Elazig winery established in Harput outskirt which is located in east of Anatolia, hosted to many civilization for thousands of years. The Elazig wine production facility of Kayra is the only wine facility located at the very eastern part of Turkey and therefore the closest to the homeland of wine. Kayra’s Elazig facility is Turkey’s most eastward wine production facility and this allows Kayra to approach to the homeland of wine. Okuzgozu and Bogazkere grapes that are being processed at the Elazig production facility are among the most important power agents of Kayra and bound Turkey to its past culture.
