PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
1. The blade was made of Honsanmai, it has been hand forged into Sanmai construction, The edge part is 1095 steel, iron is the core of the blade, middle strength material 1060 steel located on the the MUNE(back of the blade), the 13 times forged folded steel was forged to wrap the three materials ,it distributes on the both side of the blade,it was Fully hand forged in a completely traditional manner.it was Fully hand forged,hand shaping,hand polishing in the most traditional method of sword making.
2. A special clay was applied on the blade to control the rate at which the blades cools when quenced after grinding(rough finishing).The clay ensures carbon does not simply escape during this process.What's more,we are Applying different thicknesses of clay to the edge and spine(back) of the blade respectively(Differential hardening),a beautiful real hamon was appeared on the balde result of Differential hardening.
3. The blade was well heat treating (Refining) and quenching(Tempering) greatly improve the hardness and flexibility of the balde for real use.
4. Bo-hi (blood groove) is added to each side of the blade,lighten the blade ,also balance it to achieve optimal performance. (No HI will be good for heavy cutting. If want the Bo-Hi, contact us to customize for you).
5. The blade comes with a full length Tang greatly enhances the strength of the sword while swung and it will be signed according to your requirements.(pls contact us through ebay message if you want to sign the DATE or NAME on the Tang)
6. The blade has been Fully hand polished with more than 13 process hand sharpening work in the most traditional Japanese craftmanship way.It is strong enough for the bamboo cutting.
