Pi Vielsted is an illustrator, graphic designer and craft maker who creates hand embroidered illustrations in her own design. Inspired by children's books from the 1950-60s and the Scandinavian design tradition, she depicts warm hearted and recognizable everyday situations that put a smile on your face. Her images are simple and graphic in their expression, with whimsical and colourful details. They are hand stitched with a mix of embroidery techniques and different yarns to create at once both a tactile and original expression.
