The Rab Latok GTX Jacket is purpose-built for dedicated alpinists, guides, and serious mountain users who demand uncompromising protection in the harshest alpine environments. Designed for relentless, high-exposure conditions, it features ultra-durable 80D 3-layer GORE-TEX Pro fabric with an advanced ePE membrane that delivers exceptional waterproofing and breathability while remaining environmentally conscious with PFCecFree DWR and recycled polyamide face fabric. The regular fit and articulated sleeves ensure full mobility during dynamic movement, whether scaling frozen waterfalls or navigating storm-blasted ridgelines. With a centre back length of 77.5cm and a low weight of just 496g (size M), the Latok GTX strikes a perfect balance between durability and packability for fast-moving technical missions.

GORE-TEX is now a totally PFC free waterproof membrane designed by Gore to be more sustainable and cut out harmful long chain 'forever chemicals' found in normal PTFE waterproof membranes. The ePE membrane is a thinner than older GORE-TEX and GORE-TEX PRO, which results in a softer and more supple feel. It doesn't have the same stiff 'cardboardy' feel as older Gore membranes. The biggest performance difference you are most likely to notice is the DWR treatment. Unfortunately flurocarbons are some of the best, most hydrophobic chemicals out there. Getting rid of them does hit performance so you will notice that the nice 'beading' effect disappears quite quickly. Don't worry your GORE-TEX jacket is still waterproof, but to maintain the beading effect you will need to top up the DWR more regularly

Packed with performance-focused features, the Latok GTX includes an Ascent helmet-compatible hood with stiffened peak and one-handed adjustments for secure fit in high winds. Venting is optimised through 2-way pit zips with YKK AquaGuard zips and haptic pullers for easy access with gloves. Storage is ample, with four external AquaGuard ® zipped pockets, plus internal mesh and security options for essentials. A 2-way VISLON AquaGuard front zip with fleece chin guard ensures weatherproof sealing and comfort, while the extended cuffs and adjustable hem provide tailored protection. For added safety, the integrated RECCO reflector makes you searchable by mountain rescue in avalanche or emergency scenarios (please note that RECCO is no replacement for a proper transceiver), rounding off a jacket ready for the most extreme adventures.
