Inspiration

The Palatino model is inspired by the font of the same name, designed by Herman Zapf in 1948 and highly appreciated for its characteristic legibility. Description

Bioacetate: The frame is made of Mazzucchelli M49 bioacetate, 100% recyclable and biodegradable, without chemical agglomerates to reduce the risk of allergic reactions. Its natural origin is also revealed to the touch with a pleasant warm and silky effect.

Front: the front follows the design of the font, reproducing its light strokes and proportions. The side snouts are inspired by the font's graces, emphasised by the milling, giving the eyewear a strong taste yet not lacking in delicacy.
The opaline top interacts with the translucent base in an interesting trompe d'oeil effect that lightens the perceptive weight of the frame by concealing some of its functional elements, such as the bridge, which partially becomes a ghost.

Temples: 'sail' model, named after the shape reminiscent of the tiller of a rudder. The perforated 'o', taken from the Good's logo, is reproduced at the end.

Hinge: the bar is attached to the UPN hinge by two riveted rivets and leaves the metal hinge visible. The perforated "o" taken from the Good's logo is reproduced on the back.

Curiosity
The characteristic readability of the Palatino made it ideal for publications on poor paper used for newspapers and magazines after World War II.
