Luxsin X9 combines three functions in one unit: headphone amplifier, DAC, and preamplifier. This means you can use it both as a pure DAC for your existing setup, as a preamplifier in a full hi-fi chain, or as a dedicated headphone solution. X9 is aimed especially at those who want to get the very most out of their headphones – both balanced and unbalanced.

You can connect your headphones via either 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm balanced connector, or the classic 6.3mm jack. No matter which type you use, X9 delivers plenty of power, low noise, and excellent control – even for the most demanding models.

THE SOUND STARTS WITH A STRONG DAC

At the heart of Luxsin X9 is a top-shelf DAC chip: AKM’s AK4499EX. This chip is known for its warm, natural tone and its ability to reproduce complex details with calm and precision. Combined with a dedicated circuit design, based partly on experience from the Eversolo DMP-A8, it ensures sound that is both technically accurate and pleasant to listen to.

All digital signals are processed with extreme precision, and you can connect both USB (for example to a computer or streamer), coaxial S/PDIF, optical TosLink, and analog RCA. The DAC supports high-resolution formats – perfect for modern music listening without loss.

TAILORED TO YOUR HEADPHONES

One of the most impressive features of the Luxsin X9 is the built-in HP-EQ, which gives you the ability to tailor the sound to your preferences – and to your headphones. With more than 2,500 preset profiles (including for HiFiMAN, Audeze, and others), X9 automatically adapts to the characteristics of your exact headphones. This means you get the best possible balance without having to fiddle with manual settings.

HIGH QUALITY ALL THE WAY THROUGH

Luxsin X9 is built without compromise. Here you get an R2R-based volume control with precision all the way down to 0.1 dB – something you typically only see in much more expensive high-end preamplifiers. Internally, it uses silver-plated OCC copper cables, hand-picked capacitors and high-quality resistors, as well as gold-plated connectors for optimal signal transfer.

The design clearly draws from Eversolo, but X9 stands out with its more robust and functional appearance. The large color display on the front provides access to menus and settings, and the animated VU meters give a visual impression of the signal level – a classic detail in a modern form.

SIMPLE OPERATION – GREAT CONTROL

Operation is easy via the touchscreen, included remote control, or the dedicated Luxsin app for iOS and Android. This makes it possible to control all functions – from input selection to EQ and output – directly from the sofa. X9 also supports Bluetooth 5.0, so you can quickly stream music from a smartphone or tablet. However, it should be noted that the wireless connection is intended as a convenient solution – not a replacement for wired, high-resolution listening.
