It is a good choice when a floating plug rides too high or when fish are tracking bait slightly below the surface.

Use a steady retrieve for a natural inshore baitfish track, then add small twitches or pauses when the lure passes a current seam, rock edge, drain, or bait school.

Because it sinks, you can count it down, but you also need to manage depth around shallow snags.

It is strongest in estuaries, surf gutters, harbour walls, river mouths, and rocky edges where sea bass, flatfish, or trevally are feeding under the top layer.

If fish are pushing bait right on the surface, the SF model may stay in the zone better.
