ROCOCO
Driven by the concept of elevated craftsmanship that balances quality and design, ROCOCO produces its garments in reliable domestic factories with a solid production background. The brand proposes simple, timeless items designed to be worn and appreciated for years to come.
What defines a “good shirt” by ROCOCO?
Production is entrusted to skilled domestic factories. Carefully selected materials, thoughtfully refined patterns, a price that allows for repeat wear, and durability for long-term use—this is ROCOCO’s definition of a “good shirt.”
Recommended for those who:
● Are looking for a shirt with character even when worn on its own
● Want to cherish and wear their favorite pieces for a long time
● Refuse to compromise on comfort and material quality
● Have felt something lacking in the shirts they’ve owned before
● Found the sizing of imported shirts difficult to fit
● Appreciate reliable quality with a visible production background
US oxford that grows richer with every wash
A sturdy fabric thicker than standard oxford is used. Made with coarse-count American cotton yarns, it offers excellent fiber strength and a tough finish. Initially slightly crisp to the touch, the fabric gradually softens and conforms to the body with repeated washing, developing greater character over time. Truly an oxford fabric meant to be “grown.”
A deliberately mild bleaching process adds a relaxed feel without looking overly polished. The natural appearance created by leaving cotton flecks intact is another quiet charm unique to natural materials.
Banshu-ori, a textile tradition Japan is proud of
Banshu-ori originates from Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, a renowned production area for yarn-dyed textiles.
By dyeing the yarn before weaving, this method achieves a natural texture, depth of color, and an exceptionally comfortable feel against the skin.
Natural three-dimensional form through hand-drafted patterns
All patterns are designed by hand, creating natural volume and curves that follow the body’s lines. The length is balanced to work both tucked in and worn out.
While retaining the spirit of American tradition, the proportions are tailored to suit Japanese body types—one of the key reasons this design is so well received.
Faithful to traditional button-down shirt details
To achieve a collar with a refined, dimensional look, the shape and button placement are adjusted in millimeter increments. The chest pocket follows a classic size (13 × 11 cm), and the buttons are premium shell buttons made in Japan.
The sides are finished with flat-felled seams, the hem with a rolled stitch, and side pleats are placed at the back. Every detail is carefully considered and precisely executed.
Two fits to choose from
ROCOCO’s original shirts are available in two silhouettes.
